JOVRNALISM

A 360-video project in partnership with Peace4Kids, a non-profit organization that connects youth in foster care with the community. The video was created for the immersive journalism project JOVRNALISM, which aims to tell the stories of underserved communities through emerging technology. This project tells the story of Elizah. The piece is part of a collection of videos that became a Finalist in the Online News Association's Excellence in Immersive Storytelling category and winner of The David Teeuwen Student Journalism Award.

GENTRIFICATION IN CHINATOWN

This video was made for the fall final multimedia project of the M.S. Journalism program at USC. It is a natural-sound piece chronicling the last days of Ai Hoa Market—one of the first in L.A.'s Chinatown founded by Vietnamese war refugees and one of the last full-service grocery stores to leave the neighborhood for good.

ANNENBERG MEDIA: SEE IT LIVE

This broadcast news-style video was individually reported, shot, and edited by me, then broadcast within the 10-hour Annenberg Media shift for the show "See It Live."

L.A. ZINE CULTURE

This video was made as part of the fall midterm project of the M.S. Journalism program at USC. I interview two bookstore owners about zines and their significance in building community.
